Description
Rocking chairs definitely have a personality. Some behave like natural rockers and others give resistance. “I know I’m supposed to rock back and forth but I’m SO not into it right now, or ever.” And then we have the ones who start rocking on their own in anticipation of being sat on. The sweet back and forth of that variety lulls the body into a trance-like state. You might notice our cat Silly Sausage curled up on the chair. She pretty much owned that rocker.
Looking at this woodcut of mine I can see how I coaxed the chair out from the grain of this plank of pinewood. Quite rough and tumble but I do like it, nonetheless.
