Description
One of the very first wood engravings that I tried to make in my old studio on 2nd Ave. Likely around 1981. I didn’t have access to end-grain boxwood, the preferred material. I glued up some end-grain maple salvaged from a shipping pallet.
Here is a prospector whiling away the dark winter hours playing solitaire by lamplight alone in his log cabin.
