Commentary:
Here’s my contribution to the millions of selfies floating out there in the ether. Although I approached it a bit differently than most by interpreting my smartphone image as a woodcut print.
The matrix is half inch birch ply cut with my gouges, etc. Inked up with Gamblin black on handmade Japanese washi paper. The paper is rather precious since it came down from my father’s collection, so it’s the real deal and likely super expensive by today’s standards.
